Overseas Publishers | Top 30 Chinese Publishers by Overseas Revenue in May 2026

Based on the mobile app big-data platform DianDian (https://app.diandian.com/), DianDian Overseas has compiled the Top 30 Chinese app and game publishers by overseas revenue across the App Store and Google Play, with the aim of helping industry practitioners better understand trends and changes in the global mobile app market.

The reporting period for this article is May 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026.



Top 30 Chinese Non-Game App Publishers by Overseas Revenue in May

During the reporting period, the top of the May ranking of Chinese non-game app publishers by overseas revenue remained stable.ByteDancecontinued to lead the ranking, with overseas revenue remaining stable month-on-month.Gloritymaintained its strong growth momentum, with estimated overseas revenue in May rising by more than 33.9% MoM and approaching the US$20 million mark. Its plant identification and care app PictureThis remained within its seasonal demand window. Around Mother's Day, the app launched the themed campaign “Save Mom’s Favorite Plants,” which delivered solid results in both downloads and revenue, helping it return to the top 30 of the overall grossing chart in the U.S. for the first time in two years. Judging from the overall overseas revenue trend, the publisher is likely to set a new quarterly high in Q2.

Among the top 15 publishers, Meitu (HK:01357), TP-LINK, Tencent (HK:00700) all recorded slight MoM growth in overseas revenue last month, with no significant changes in their overall rankings.Changdu Technologys namesake short-drama app MoboReels benefited from the strong performance of the “ugly wife comeback” short drama The Disguised Bride, Ugly But Stunning, which was released in mid-May and became a hit across T1 markets represented by the U.S., Japan, and South Korea. This drove estimated monthly revenue for the app up by more than 45.4% MoM, which in turn pushed the publisher's overseas revenue up by more than 14.2% MoM and narrowed its gap with the top 10 publishers.

Among other ranked publishers, Youmai Technologyentered the ranking for the first time in nearly a year. Its marketing tool app Reports Unfollowers Followers+, designed for Instagram users and operators, saw notable revenue growth in the U.S. at the beginning of last month. This drove the app's estimated overseas revenue in May up by more than 32.7% MoM, while also pushing the publisher's overseas revenue up by 28.9% MoM and lifting it to No. 23 on the ranking.

At the lower end of the ranking, Huafang Group (HK:03611) saw clear growth across both platforms in the U.S. and U.K., the two major markets for its video social app MonkeyCool. This was the main reason the publisher's metrics, especially revenue, nearly doubled over the past three months.In addition, publishers whose rankings improved last month also included Xingyin Information Technology, Kingsoft (HK:03888), Easyroid, Bilibili (NASDAQ:BILI) and VeePro.







Top 30 Chinese Game Publishers by Overseas Revenue in May

As the summer season approaches, both large and small game publishers have been intensively rolling out operations for their live titles. Anniversary events and major chapter updates from leading products continued to absorb market spending, further intensifying traffic competition between new releases and existing titles. Against this backdrop, the May ranking of Chinese game publishers by overseas revenueremained highly active.

During the reporting period, the top six publishers on the ranking remained unchanged from the previous month. Century Games (DianDian Interactive) (SZ:002602) saw both of its flagship products, Whiteout Survival and Kingshot, reach new monthly revenue highs, with the two titles now nearly on par in performance. Driven by these two games, the publisher's estimated overseas revenue last month also set a new record at around US$215 million.

Tencent (HK:00700) followed closely, with overseas revenue in May increasing by more than 15.2% MoM. Its anime-style shooter GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE launched two SSR characters and the exclusive OST “B-SIDE IDOL” in May, receiving excellent responses in both Japan and South Korea. This pushed the title's overseas revenue back near its peak and helped it record its second-highest revenue level since launch. Meanwhile, among the leading publishers, Microfun, HoYoverse and Lilith Gamesall recorded slight increases in overseas revenue last month.

Kuro Gamess flagship anime RPG Wuthering Waves celebrated its second anniversary in May. Version 3.3, “Through the Mists and Toward the Sea,” was launched at the same time, bringing content updates including the new 5-star character “Fleurdelys” and the new region “Septimont.” These updates boosted player activity and willingness to spend, helping the product's overseas revenue grow by more than 240.4% MoM last month and bringing the publisher back into the top 10.

Perfect World (SZ:002624)s new title NTE: Neverness to Everness entered its first full month of operation in May. After a strong launch across T1 markets including Japan, South Korea, and the U.S., the game also reached a daily revenue peak in mid-May, driven by the launch of the new character “Hotori” and new version events. The strong performance of this new title successfully opened up a new overseas revenue growth window for the publisher and helped it return to the ranking. Also benefiting from strong overseas new-title launches was Leiting Games (SH:603444). Its otherworld adventure RPG Sword x Staff, which has been popular in Japan as well as Hong Kong, China / Macao, China / Taiwan, China, generated more than US$6.56 million in estimated revenue within just two weeks of its international launch, driving the publisher's overseas revenue up by 97.7% MoM.

In the middle of the ranking, Papergamess female-oriented title Love and Deepspace saw explosive popularity in major markets including the U.S., Japan, and Taiwan, China after launching the new event “Lingering Lust” at the end of April. Subsequently, the limited-time return of Xavier's “Eclipse King” companion outfit and Sylus's 5-star limited Memory Wish Rate-Up event drove the publisher's overseas revenue up by more than 31.9%, lifting its ranking by five places.

At the lower end of the ranking, Magic Taverncontinued to see rising revenue from multiple casual titles represented by Mystery Town: Merge Games, with the publisher's overseas revenue increasing by around 20% MoM and allowing it to enter the ranking for the first time in a year. In addition, publishers whose rankings rose last month also included Camel Games (SZ:300002), Happibits, Habby and Leniu Games.
